A.P.P.I. Unit Autism – Personalized and Early Intervention Unit

For whom?
The unit welcomes children aged 18 months to 4 years who present with early communication difficulties and/or relational challenges, with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
How?
The therapeutic approach is based on the development of an individualized care plan tailored to the child’s specific needs and the expectations of their family. The team conducts comprehensive assessments and uses tools such as the ESDM (Early Start Denver Model) and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) to support the child’s development.
The evaluation process relies on existing reports (from ASD diagnostic centers, child psychiatrists, pediatric neurologists, etc.), as well as direct observations carried out within the unit, at home, and in the child’s daycare or school environment.
